April is only a couple of weeks away, which means it's almost time for Script Frenzy! I, for one, am super excited. Deadlines drive me to write at a ridiculous speed and an excuse to work on my comic script will be awesome. Maybe once I have a decent draft, I can move on to drawing the pages! Although I have absolutely no intention of posting any before I have some five chapters complete. Crazyhuge buffers for the win!

You know what's even closer than Script Frenzy? SPRING BREAK! I never thought I'd be so excited for time off, but, oh my lord, has this semester been stressful. I wanted to draw two pictures for last week, knew about it for about a month, and had no time to so much as start either. I make no guarantees that break will be spent drawing (there are at least two big projects due as soon as classes start back up), but I'm hoping chances are better. With all the writing required, I might get an urge to use a creative medium not involving letters.

Regarding art progress, I'm very surprised, I don't know how it happened, but while drawing my last couple of pictures the shading just clicked. Perfect it is not. Passable? Passable it might just finally be. Which means... it's time to focus on something new to improve! I think the biggest issues my art suffers from at the moment are:

1) Faces/expressions
2) Backgrounds
3) Clothing, especially the lack of folds

Also, I really want to replace my current ID, but I cannot think of a new one at the moment, so who knows how long it'll actually take me to make one?
